I am spending this week in the wine regions of Rueda and Ribera Del Duero on behalf of Snooth. I thought as part of my journey I would take some time to share some pictures with you. Come with me to Segovia, Spain.

Segovia is a historic Medieval city northwest of Madrid in the Castile and León region.  Queen Isabella was corronated in a church in Segovia that used to be located where the town square exists today. As you can see from these pictures it is quite beautiful.

This Roman aqueduct is over 200 miles long and dates back many centuries.

After our tour we had a lovely lunch featuring Segovia’s traditional Cochinillo Asado or Roast Suckling Pig.

Finally we headed to D.O. Rueda to learn about and tast Verdejo, the number one white wine in Spain. Easy to see why; it’s delicious. Floral with tropical fruit & marcona almonds with a touch of salinity, racy acidity & a rich textural mouthfeel.
